Human Resource Capacity Development
This component of the project will focus on human resource capacity development. The government of Sri Lanka has identified and recognized capacity constraints related to human resources in the financial management system in Sri Lanka's public sector and in order to bring about sustainable results, the government is committed to develop the needed capacities —including management, leadership, and facilitation—for better institutional and staff performance. As such, it is proposed to set-up a new state of the art training institute with the necessary infrastructure facilities under this component, and will be primarily designed to strengthen capacities of government officials in the areas of (i) enhancing revenue administration, (ii) efficient public expenditure and treasury management, and (iii) related institutional strengthening and IT-enabled services and systems.
